Todd’s Qualifications

Integrity

As a business leader, a father, a veteran, and proud Richardson resident, my words and actions go hand-in-hand. Anyone who knows me understands that I am reliable, authentic, honest, and I have a moral compass that doesn't waver. I have no professional or personal conflicts that will interfere with me serving the city to the utmost of my ability. And, I will always put the needs of Richardson residents, businesses and other stakeholders first.

Leadership

I have worked as an executive in the oil and gas industry for nearly 20-years. As such, I have extensive experience in procurement, transportation, operations, infrastructure improvement, and finance – all of which uniquely qualify me for Richardson City Council. For years, I’ve been a committee representative, working side-by-side with private sector and city agencies. I am well versed on the best ways to negotiate and administer operational agreements for the construction, maintenance, and operation of infrastructure projects. And, I have emergency management experience with state, county, city, and first responders, which means I can help negotiate and enact the right supply policies and procedures during times of local crisis.

Service

As a U.S. Army Flight Officer for nearly 8-years, I was proud to serve my country. During that time, I was presented the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and National Defense Service Medal, while on active duty in both the Afghanistan and Iraqi Wars. I was also responsible for executive safe collective training for a 244-solider company. I know firsthand what it means to lead and cooperate in a team, and have significant respect for the Municipal Civil Service and the work they do to support our community.

What all of this boils down to, is that I have a heart for service and a mind for business. Both of these attributes will work to serve the City of Richardson well as we continue to foster a vibrant, progressive living and working environment, now and for years to come.
